Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 11, 2026

Yalope (“Yalope”, “we”) is a platform that connects actors and creators of artistic projects. This policy explains what personal data we process when you use yalope.com and the app, why, who we share it with and how you can exercise your rights, under Argentina's Personal Data Protection Law No. 25,326. Data controller: Yalope — info@yalope.com.

1. What data we keep

Account: your email and your password (stored encrypted by our provider; nobody at Yalope can see it). If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, your email and, only if you choose to use it, your Google photo.

Profile: name, date of birth, location, gender (and its description if you choose “Other”), photos, video reel, résumé, experience, skills, social links and your visibility preferences.

Projects and teams you create: titles, descriptions, roles, photos and rehearsal location.

Activity in the app: the “I'm interested” marks you make, your matches and casting calls, chat messages, notifications, reports and blocks.

Technical data: if you turn on notifications, your browser's subscription; if you link Discord, your Discord ID and username; your theme and language preferences; how many times you use the AI features (we don't store the texts you send); if you share your public link, the name you choose for it and how many times a day it's opened (we don't store who opens it); and error logs with technical data (browser, operating system and the screen where the error happened).

If you write to us through the “Support” form: your name, your email and your message.

2. What we use it for

To make the app work: showing your profile to people looking for talent, showing you projects and teams near you, setting up matches and casting calls, and opening each project's chats.

To let you know what's happening: emails (for example, when your access is approved) and phone notifications if you turn them on.

To look after the community: approving new accounts, handling reports and reviewing published content (with AI assistance, always reviewed by a person before any action is taken).

To fix errors and improve the app.

We don't sell your data or use it for advertising.

3. Who sees your information

Your profile is visible to people with an approved Yalope account. Your location is shown only as a neighborhood or city: the exact address is never published. You can hide your age, and you can hide your profile from new people.

If you turn on your profile's public link, anyone with that link sees your full profile, including your social links and website, even without an account. You can turn it off or change it at any time.

Chat messages are visible only to the members of that chat.

Yalope's admin team can access information when needed to approve accounts, handle reports or solve technical problems.

4. Services we use

To run, Yalope uses providers that process data on our behalf: Supabase (database, files and accounts), Vercel (app hosting), Resend (email delivery), Sentry (error logging), Google (Google sign-in and place search), OpenAI through Vercel (only when you use an AI button; the text from that moment is sent) and Discord (only if you link your account).

Some of these providers process data outside Argentina, mainly in the United States. By using Yalope you accept that international transfer, which is made with providers that apply security measures.

5. How long we keep it

For as long as you have your account. From Settings → “Delete my account” your account and all your content (profile, photos, projects, teams, chats and messages) are deleted. Our providers' technical logs are deleted according to their own retention periods.

6. Your rights

You can access, rectify, update and request deletion of your data. You can do almost everything from the app (editing your profile or deleting your account); for anything else, write to info@yalope.com.

The data subject has the right to access their personal data free of charge at intervals of no less than six months, unless a legitimate interest is shown, as established in article 14, paragraph 3 of Law No. 25,326.

The Agency for Access to Public Information, as the Control Body of Law No. 25,326, is empowered to handle complaints and claims filed by those whose rights are affected by non-compliance with the rules on personal data protection.

7. Minimum age

Yalope is for people aged 16 and over: the profile doesn't accept a date of birth indicating a younger age.

8. Cookies and storage

We use cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences (theme, language), and while you complete your profile we keep a draft in your browser so you don't lose what you entered. We don't use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

9. Security

Information travels encrypted and access to data is restricted by permissions: each person sees what concerns them. No system is infallible; if we detect a problem affecting your data, we will let you know.

10. Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date above and, if the change is significant, we will let you know in the app.

For any questions about these topics, write to us at info@yalope.com.
